READERS FEEDBACK:

The following are comments from some of the first readers about The BUZZ and The BIZ

"I've just finished reading your books THE BIZ and THE BUZZ.  Terrific! These books are refreshing, simple, elegant and so relevant for any business owner or team leader.  They should be mandatory reading for everybody in business". Gregory Haddock, Managing Director, "The Profit Doctor Ltd" (www.theprofitdoctor.co.uk)

“The BUZZ is packed with ideas of how to deliver truly great service.  Read it and be inspired with dozens of practical ideas to improve your business.  The BIZ is another great business self-help book from David Freemantle.  Packed with practical ideas, it will challenge and stimulate you with examples of how to make your business one of the best.”
Henry Stewart, (Chief Executive, Happy Computers, Winner of the Management Today/Unisys Service Excellence Award 2003)

“I thought I would let you know that I enjoyed reading The Buzz and The Biz. The books are excellent, they are superb reminders for individuals and teams to make sure they do the basics that make such a difference. I can see sales managers, branch managers etc etc across the world going through the book each morning and getting the buy in from the staff to go away and use it. Absolutely no doubt, this is practical and immediately useable. Superb!”

Chris Hughes,(Chris Hughes Ltd. and also last year top producer with B&B Bank)

“Congratulations on The Buzz book, it is easy to read, memorable and makes absolute sense.”

Sue Bull,  (Technical and Compliance Manager, Keelan-Westall PLC, Hampshire)

The Biz

I liked:-

 - lack of theory/jargon, the book is easy to relate to for people from any background

- - presentation - different texts; pictures, again user friendly and making content attractive to users who may not be used to academic text

- liked way you personalised book, put "human touch" to book

- liked way that you included psychology of staff AND manager - getting manager to think about their attributes as well as those of staff - very good!

- particularly liked - experiment with motivational stimuli and retreat, relax sections - so stretch people and encourage them  (including manager) to come out of comfort blanket and then more softly softly approach allowing them to reflect/retrench ideas from safety of

hopefully expanded comfort blanket

- I also really liked the initiate learning - my own personal goal is to learn one new thing every day

Not sure:-

- Section 5 - Fight to pay the best - maybe due to industry I am in; but thought this section a little naive/idealistic

2. The Buzz

In addition to "presentation"/"human touch" comments that I made about the Biz, that also applies to the Buzz I would add that I liked:-

- the recommended approach 1/2 an hour session with team to review

section of book

- liked the way that you encourage self/company analysis and then

provide simple/cheap/achievable solutions to problems making individual

feel empowered to solve problem on their own

- I liked the way you personalise service to customers - use customers

christian name etc. building up relationship with customer
